Happy Birthday!
Christine's birthday was coming-up so her care giver called the AgeWell staff to prepare for a visit. She brought Christine to our office for lunch. We all piled into the conference room and enjoyed spending time together. Christine brought a photo album with pictures of her past travels. We had cake and ice cream, read her cards, and heard some fun stories.
Manicure & Pedicure Please
Betty just wanted to get out of the house for a while. Our care giver picked her up and they went to a local nail salon for a manicure and pedicure. AgeWell Wishes are not always complicated or extravagant. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference.
A Day at the Casino
Ruth told us she enjoyed spending time with "Lady Luck". So we arranged a trip to the Casino. She tested her luck against the one-arm bandits and came out a winner!
Writing a Legacy
For Mother's Day, AgeWell wanted to do something special. We put together a program with author Rachael Freed on how to write a blessing to a family member or loved-one. We brought our clients, friends and families to The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum on the Saturday before Mother's Day for the event. After some discussion, instruction and guidance we each wrote a blessing to someone we love. The session closed with us reading them aloud. It was a wonderful opportunity to express appreciation for the investment people have made in each other.
